Family Restaurant and Bar
in Beautiful Prairie City, Oregon

NW Big Game Museum
While looking for a permanent place to show the heads, horns, and antlers normally displayed at local area sportsmen's shows, NW Big Game's
director, David Morris, came up with what he hopes to be an exciting angle. He's just openeda fine dining restaurant in Prairie City, 13 miles east of John Day.
Shoshoni Winds offers great food, great service and an opportunity to dine among the largest deer, elk, and other big game trophies in the Pacific Northwest.
This unique setting allows diners to enjoy top quality dinner fare while viewing State and World record Rocky Mt. Elk, Roosevelt Elk, Mule Deer, Witetail and
Blacktail Deer, Pronghorn Antelope and California Big Horn Sheep as well as artwork from some of the area's best wildlife artists.
In addition to the wildlife displayed in this historical restaurant built in 1902, one has to notice the beautiful mahogany and rosewood "Twin Virgins" back bar. the bar,
built in 1879, has an amazing history and is a wonderful complement to what can only be considered a special place to dine.
Whether driving through, or hunting in the area, stop by and say hi. You'll enjoy the food and view!
