New State Record Mule Deer

During the 2007 Head & Horn competition we measured another new state record mule deer archery-velvet. The deer was taken in Grant County near the Harney County line by Kyle Woolhiser.  The buck scored 197 0/8 and was one among several great archery buck taken in 2007.  Nick Mickelson's buck scored 194 7/8 from Deschutes Co., and Cody Cole's buck scored 193 7/8.  Kyle's buck was the overall winner of the O'Loughlin Sportsmen's show Head & Horn Competition earning him a new Fort Knox gun safe.  Nick's buck took the top prize at the Redmond show winning the Les Schwab Tire gift certificate worth $500.
